winIDEA offers different solutions for handling the data traced from the target. As the Measurement Data Format (MDF) is an automotive industry standard file format, there is also an option to export the content recorded with the winIDEA Analyzer to the MDF format for further external processing. The exported file conforms to the ASAM Run-Time Interface (ARTI) standard if an operating system (OS), which supports this (e.g. AUTOSAR), is recorded.
The data related to the ARTI standard needs to be correctly traced. Thus winIDEA supports also the import of the XML description files and their generation through the iTCHi to correctly configure the profiling of this data.
