Error: Trace is not licensed

When starting a new Analyzer session, winIDEA displays an error message, although license (or activation key) for trace is purchased. 


Possible solutions:

1. Determine what trace technology is available on your target.

Check in Hardware menu / CPU Options / Analyzer where Operation mode can not be selected.

What if your target doesn't support trace? Refer to this topic.


2. Select correct Operation mode.

According to the connected target device specifications select correct Operation mode in Hardware menu / CPU Options / Analyzer


3. Missing trace license?

Contact our Licensing department at license@isystem.com.
