Mass erase doesn't work

07-Mar-2023

When trying to perform a mass erase of the chip, you get an error, e.g.  UMI error. For mass erase to work, the CPU should be stopped. In case you have a multi-core device, the non-primary cores should be stopped as well.

Possible solutions:

Enable the Allow mass erase option.

Enable this option via the Hardware menu / <device> / Configure Device dialog.

Make sure that all the CPU cores are stopped when trying to perform mass erase.

Open View menu / Debug / Session Explorer and check status of CPU cores.
