These configuration steps are required to connect BlueBox to the Target and perform the CPU Reset command, which establishes the initial Debug connection.
RH850 devices feature the LPD debug interface. If the default LPD clock setting doesn’t work, it is recommended to lower the LPD clock below 4 MHz under the Hardware / CPU Options / SoC tab. LPD clock value in kHz can be manually typed in.
RH850 devices usually provide a 128-bit or 256-bit Security ID code to prevent unauthorized access to the RH850 on-chip debugging resources. A matching Security ID code must be entered in the Hardware / CPU Options / SoC to connect to the target device.
A blank RH850 device comes with all bytes 0xFF in the Security ID code area. Use debug interface protection with caution since the device can unintentionally become inaccessible.
